After serving with 42 Commando Royal Marines for the liberation of Iraq in 2003, Ben returned to the region as a close protection officer. There he worked in a senior managerial position on a highly significant project with the US Department of Defence.
After successfully completing the mission in 2005, he continued operating in other regions of the world both on land and at sea, specialising in high-risk environments. During this time, Ben gained significant anti-piracy experience both in the Malacca Straits and the Gulf of Aden.
In early 2007, his focus turned to the delivery of training for a number of clients including the EU and the UN. Since this time he has continued to develop Hostile Environment Awareness Training programmes which he runs both in the UK, Europe and wider world locations.
Ben has gained valuable experience in both conflict and post conflict environments. He has also developed a unique network of like-minded professionals with a broad skill set. He brings this expertise to Fox Delta, which he co-founded in early 2009.
In 2010 and 2011 he spent much of the year working with clients in Georgia, Israel and OPT as well as Haiti and Africa.
In 2012 – 2014 as well as continuing operations in Afghanistan he began advising clients in Lebanon. He currently spends much of his time working in Afghanistan and Ukraine.
